These hinged brass saddles are made with brass alloys with bronze alloy bolts and pins. Nitrile (BUNA-N) gaskets are bonded in place. Their ample width provides even distribution of clamping pressures. These saddles are designed to fit pipes with standard Iron Pipe Size (IPS) diameters and have NPT threads.
Hinged saddles install as a single unit with no loose parts to lose in the ditch. The upper and lower castings are permanently hinged together with a bronze alloy pin. The lower casting is tapped to accept the bolt so that nuts are not required.
